the caravan on climate, gender and food sovereignty, organised by Bangladesh Krishok Federation (BKF) and Bangadesh Kishani Shaba (BKS) is going to start very soon!
The (inter)national participants are on the way to Dhaka, where the caravan will start on Tuesday, November 15th, with three busses filled with activists and representatives of a diverse range of (inter)national grassroot movements to head for Sonarhat, in the North of the country.
In the following three weeks, the route of the caravan will lead us step by step from the North to the South of the Country, to exchange with local hosts about the impacts of climate change on gender related issues, food sovereignty and autonomy, collective rights and many more topics relevant for peasant, indigenous and fisher-communities in South-Asia.
Watch out on this blog for regular reports we will post during the caravan. Meanwhile you can find information about the caravan on: http://www.krishok.org, the webside of the caravan-organisers BKF and BKS.
